While modifications are possible, we do not recommend changing these settings as they are carefully configured for optimal performance.
What Are Entry and Exit Delays?
Every Epic Alarm system is pre-configured with the following default settings:
- Entry Delay: 60 seconds
- Exit Delay: 60 seconds
Entry Delay
The entry delay is the amount of time you have to disarm your alarm system after opening a door before the alarm sounds. It helps prevent false alarms while giving authorized users enough time to input their code.
Exit Delay
The exit delay gives you a set period to leave the premises after arming the system. This prevents accidental alarms when leaving the property.
Why We Recommend Keeping Default Settings
Although adjustments can be made, we strongly advise against modifying entry and exit delays for the following reasons:
