My smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping
If your smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping, the most common reason is a low battery. Once the batteries have been replaced, the beeping should stop.
If your smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector keeps beeping and you have already changed the batteries, it is possible that your smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector has reached the end of its life. Its lifespan is approximately 4-5 years from the date it was installed.
